BAND MEMBERS
TIM CODY - Guitar and Vocals
Growing up in a large musically talented family, music was a central part of Tim’s upbringing, performing in a variety of family and community events honing his craft of songwriting and musicianship. Later in life, Tim started a duo where he was gigging the pub scene in and around Brisbane for a number of years before eventually coming together to form the band Limerick. This allowed Tim to fulfill his true passion for Celtic music and embrace his Celtic roots. As a second generation Irishman, Tim remembers how he enjoyed listening to the old Irish ballads his father would regularly play on vinyl and this has influenced and shaped Tim into the artist he is today. In addition to playing guitar, leading vocals, and writing songs for Limerick, Tim has taken on the role of band manager and successfully launched Limerick into the mainstream as Limerick grows in popularity. Tim’s passion and drive has led Limerick to win in the 2020 Australian Celtic Music Award for "Best New Talent". Tim brings energy and joy to the band with his inspired performances and character adding to the unique sound that is Limerick. |
